These trousers are inspired by a tea towel from the 1930s-1950s. The contrast piping and fruit-and-vegetable appliqué of the original have been faithfully reproduced here. Each appliqué piece is made from fabric scraps and hand-applied. The silhouette is that of a traditional trouser—mid-rise, straight leg.
